Lloyd’s re/insurer MS Amlin names new CEO


Lloyd’s reinsurer MS Amlin has appointed Christiern Dart as its chief government officer (CEO), efficient January 2026.  

The appointment is contingent on regulatory approval. 

Dart has greater than 30 years of business expertise together with a 17-year stint at Brit.  

He labored as group chief underwriting officer (CUO) at Brit for 5 years, having began his profession there underwriting the North American property and casualty (P&C) portfolio. 

Dart’s profession within the reinsurance sector started within the mid-Nineties with roles at CNA Re and Liberty Syndicates.

Dart will take over from Andrew Service, who has led MS Amlin as CEO for the previous three years.  

Upon stepping down, Service will proceed to lend his experience to the broader Mitsui Sumitomo (MSI) group, taking over an government officer function to help with the group’s worldwide market enlargement.
